Armin Schwarz rejoins the WRC mid-season for the Acropolis Rally with the Skoda works team, after working intensively on the Fabia WRC. In compliance with the FIA, the car has to remain at the homologation status of 2003. After retiring in Greece, Armin drives to overall victory with Skoda at the Saarland Rally. The first best time at WRC level is set at the German Rally, where the Fabia is quick on asphalt but is hampered by a fire and turbo damage. The highlight of the year comes on Corsica where Armin finishes eighth in torrential rain.
